SCHOOL DESCRIPTION

      Lutheran High School – Parker is a school operated by the Colorado Lutheran High School Association and is located in the southeast part of the Denver area. It is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the National Lutheran School Accreditation. Lutheran – Parker has a great reputation for preparing students for college.

MISSION STATEMENT

     Lutheran High School Parker is a Christian high school that nurtures academic excellence and encourages growth in Christ.

FACULTY

     All of the teachers at Lutheran High School Parker have at least a Bachelor’s degree and are required to get a Colorado teacher’s license. In fact, many of the teachers have Master’s degrees in their field of study. Lutheran High School students benefit from a 17:1 student/teacher ratio and a loving Christian environment.

HONORS, ADVANCED PLACEMENT, and COLLEGE CREDIT COURSES

     Lutheran High School Parker offers honors courses in Freshmen and Sophomore English as well as AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP US History, AP English Literature and AP English Language.

     Lutheran High School Parker has partnered with Orange Lutheran Online to provide both online high school and college courses. Students can receive dual credit (high school and college) for many courses taken online. Some upper level students take classes at local community colleges for dual credit.

EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAMS

     Almost 90% of the student body actively participates in extracurricular activities.

     Lutheran High School Parker is a member of CHSAA and competes at the state 2A level for most sports. Presently Lutheran High School Parker is a member of the Mile High League.

     Lutheran High School Parker’s quality athletic program is a vital part of the school’s emphasis on excellence in extra-curricular activities. The following sports are offered at Lutheran High School Parker, arranged by season:

    Ninety to ninety five percent of all Lutheran High School Parker grads move on to some form of college. Graduates attend Colorado colleges and universities, one of the Concordia Universities (Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod) and other colleges and universities across the nation.
